What Is Your Family Doing This Holiday to Celebrate the Season?
Are you tired of the yearly sweater exchange, don't know what to buy each other, really don't "need" anything? We have a great gift idea this holiday season at ODBEC!
Bring your family to ODBEC, into our commercial kitchen and provide, prepare, serve and have dinner with the men of Christopher Place Employment Academy!
Dinner is served to 50 men at 6pm. Arrive in time to prep and cook the meal.-depending on the meal, about two hours before.
Make it italian or pizza night! Or your family favorite- meat loaf; roast chicken; roast beef; of course with the fixings you love to cook! Your group is limited only by your imagination- and the Christopher Place men do the dishes!
The men enjoy a wonderful home cooked dinner and will delight in your company while sharing the meal with your family!
Christopher Place Employment Academy is a 60 bed, 18 month residential employment program for formerly homeless men, housed at the Our Daily Bread Employment Center.
At Christopher Place each man is engaged in the process of changing and recapturing his life. This includes securing permanent and stable housing, permanent employment and drug-free living. The program helps participants to become motivated, employed citizens who support themselves, their families and contribute to society in meaningful ways.
Please call the volunteer line at 443-986-9031 to get your family "gift" on our meal schedule!
Don't have time to serve, but can provide the meal? That works too!
We look forward to hearing from you! For safety in the kitchen we ask that all volunteers in the group be at least 14 years old. This opportunity is sponsored by: Our Daily Bread Employment Center
We need volunteers who are free at these times
