Safe Streets of Topeka is in need of volunteers who enjoy working with high school and middle school aged youth. Our youth program, Students Taking Action in Topeka (STAT), meets weekly and is always looking for volunteers to assist in youth activities. STAT is a group of students ages 12-18 that have committed themselves to being alcohol, drug, tobacco and violence FREE! The mission of STAT is to improve the lives of youth in our community by providing a positive and safe place for youth to meet others, plan activities and participate in the community. All volunteers interested in working with youth are screened by the acting Youth Coordinator, Lynn Smith. This opportunity is sponsored by: Safe Streets
