Youth volunteers can truly make a difference in the lives of their families, their friends, and their communities, as well as people from around the world. Youth volunteers can: RAISE FUNDS FOR OTHERS (locally, nationally, or internationally) HELP OTHERS TO BE PREPARED (disaster kits, first aid kits, etc) COMMUNITY EDUCATION (scrubby bear, Ernie presentations, Aids/HIV education, fire prevention, and much, much more)
Youth volunteers need to be trained in the different areas in which they are interested...to be able to inform and prepare others. Opportunities and trainings are available on a ongoing basis upon request. Younger age groups (ex. Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Church groups etc may need some adult leadership...so adult volunteers looking to assist and make a difference in the lives of our youth are encouraged to volunteer too!
