Spaulding for Children has created “Open Your Heart 365” to help every child we work with feel as special as we know they are and to provide them the resources they need to succeed.

So very often children in foster care leave their homes with a black plastic bag filled with only a few possessions. Having to wear hand-me-down clothing and play with used toys often adds to their feelings of being different.

This community initiative encourages individuals, schools, companies, civic and social organizations to open their hearts 365 days a year by purchasing NEW clothing and NEW toys for infants, toddlers, youth and teens in Spaulding for Children’s Foster Care and Adoption Program.

Volunteers can participate by donating individually or by organizing a work or community drive to collect NEW items.

Individual & Groups wishing to participate in the Open Your Heart 365 - Closet Program should contact the agency to learn more about the types of NEW items needed.
