 Volunteers are needed to help guide individuals in need through the complicated maze of health and human services. They provide accurate and up to date information regarding available services, eligibility, and application procedures. From the pregnant mother seeking nutritional information and support to the elderly gentleman seeking suitable housing, volunteers empower a wide variety of individuals to improve their lives and lives of their families. Volunteers must have good communications skills, respect for the confidential nature of calls, and be willing to work with a diverse population. Volunteers must be computer literate. Must be willing to make a minimum 4 week commitment and volunteer at least 1 four hour shift per week (9am - 1pm or 1 pm-5pm). This opportunity is sponsored by: United Way For Southeastern Michigan
