United Way of West Central Connecticut

We are looking for volunteers to help on tuesdays and wednesdays in our food pantry. On tuesdays we bag groceries and set up for the wednesday handout. Volunteers would be expected to be there @ 9:00 , and we usually finish around 12:00 on tuesday . For the wednesday handout of groceries volunteers would be expected to be there @ 9:00 a.m. until noon. After the grocery handout on wednesday we have great cooks who cook a great meal for all the volunteers , so I would ask that all volunteers stay for the great meal .

With the Food pantry there is a few requirements one there is a little lifting involved and of the biggest requirements is you have to come with a smile.

From Rte. 6 West take left onto Maple Street (at Railroad tracks) at second light, take right onto Center Street. Take first left onto Main Street. Before underpass, take a left onto Prospect Street. From I 84- Take Bristol/Route 72 West exit. At end of ramp, bear right, keep following 72 West towards Bristol. Follow 72 West to Main Street. Take right onto Main Street. #43 is on left across from bank parking lot.
