YVC Sustainability Crew Youth Volunteer Corps Projects
Last updated on January 18, 2008

Concerned about Tucson's dwindling groundwater supply or global warming? Come be a part of the YVC Sustainability Crew, in which we'll discuss real solutions to these problems, like rainwater harvesting and local foods systems, for which you can then take on a leadership role in your community. Bring in whatever issues concern you, whether they be solar, biking, green construction, or anything else, and we can find ways for you to learn and help out. Members will decide on what projects they'd like to focus for weekend activities with any of a number of our partner organizations, which include the U of A's ECOalition and Parasol, Sustainable Tucson, The Nature Conservancy, and the Ironwood Tree Experience's Greenlots! We'll also plan field trips to explore what others in our community are doing to address these important issues. Come be a part of the solution!

I LOVE HUMMINGBIRDS
I had so much fun at this project! I had to get up REALLY early and we had a long car ride but it was totally worth it! My favorite part was being able to catch the hummingbirds on my own. I learned a lot about these awesome birds. ~Jessica S.
