Come join us at our East location, near Speedway and Pantano, to assist our caseworker in delivering services to those in need. Your responsibilities will be to answer the phone, welcome visitors, provide information on ICS programs and our agency, provide referral information to clients, make photocopies and file as necessary. You will have direct involvement with our clients and help in making a difference in their lives. Hours of volunteering are from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., one day a week. Volunteers are required to attend a 2 hour orientation at our main office at 2820 W.Ina Road, and pass a background check. Volunteers must be over 18 years of age. I have volunteered for ICS for a year and only recently began interviewing people for services. Either driving someone to an appointment or meeting them in their homes creates a relationship that might otherwise never exist. ICS provides valuable services for people that need help; it is a great organization, and, they treat their volunteers very well!
